2011 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 XS CSW Stornoway Grey

Not sure of the right terminology. The bit of pipe next to the inlet manifold that holds the map sensor has signs of leaking which I didn't think has been causing a problem however over the last few days where the weather has colder there been a hint of things not being right on start up. This morning when it was colder than the last few days it was really poor. Starts very quickly no probs but it's like it's running on 3 cylinders. What i'm wondering is if the map pipe is cold could it be letting more air in and hence the problem? Reason I say this is cos I believe the engine can start no probs without glow plugs otherwise that would be my obvious thought as to where the problem lies?

Any thoughts?

Damn it's chilly out there!

Not holding my breath but after reading some previous posts thought i'd have another go at the fuel filter. I've long since been aware of needing to fully tighten the filter. So decided to do an extensive warm up on the multi-gym before having another go at tightening the filter!!!! Damn it - it turns another 45 degrees!?

Can't believe it. Anyway wishful thinking but may be...just may be thing will improve?

On the plus side the clutch is working so much better / smoothly in the cold.

Happy motoring all and just maybe there'll be loads of snow soon?
