United Kingdom 2015 Defender 110 Puma 2.2 USW Corris Grey
New one
Last weekend I chopped in my owned from new '07 Puma 110 CSW XS for a new 110 XS Utility.

The old one had served me well with only the odd minor niggle which was usually swiftly sorted out under warranty. Just lately the transmission had become a bit rattly at low revs under load - same sort of noise that it made before it had the upgraded clutch installed a couple of years or more ago. It never used or lost any oil between services. Had the usual water ingress between the screen frame and bulkhead - again fixed under warranty. All in all she was the nicest of the many Defenders I've owned to date.

May i be very rude and ask about how much they gave you trade-in and how much you got your USW for?

Handsome truck and an excellent colour choice!

The engine in the new one is smoother and pulls better, to me the old one seemed a bit rougher and noisier since the software upgrade. Clutch feels a bit lighter and has less travel, steering is also lighter.

It's back at the dealers as the transmission brake has been sticking on due to oil contamination judging by the amount of the stuff that's sprayed from the brake drum and output flange.

Plus:
Two of the door check strap detents aren't working properly.
One of the door lock escutcheons is popping up and down with the lock button.
Drivers door glass rattles when the door is closed.
One rear door window winder knob is loose.
One of the indicator repeater lamps is letting in water or full of condensation.
The galvanizing on the loadspace carpet retaining strip is substandard.

Loan car is a newish Freebie. I'm also pushing for some other freebies in compensation. Steve.

Blimey you really are a miserable old git, substandard galvanising, maybe you need to get a job at Landrover and persuade them to do it properly next time.... Good luck in your quest all the same Wink
