Smallest Puma Starter battery
What is the smallest, physical size of starter battery that can be used to reliably start a 2.2 Puma engine?

Combined with the smallest physical size starter battery what is the largest AmH battery that can be fitted under the Puma passenger seat?

Suggest on sizes and makes of batteries welcomed.

It's not quite as simple as size ...
A small low capacity battery will work admirably in warmer weather, but as soon as the colder season comes around will be next to useless.
You need a battery with the minimum cold cranking capacity [CCA] and a suitable Amp Hour [AH] rating to meet the demands needed by the make of vehicle.

On a Defender, at a minimum you'll get away with a battery rated at around 550 CCA and 48 AH ... Most batteries with those ratings are about 240 x 175mm

But as said, that is a minimum, It may still not be enough if the winter is a chilly one. Personally I wouldn't entertain anything rated less than 650 CCA/70AH
HTH Guns and Landrovers .... anything else is irrelevant.
