Speculation started? Speculation is in full swing here in Switzerland for some time now.
Look at the below Swiss car selling website just as an example. Right now it features 5 new Adventures and 8 new Heritages for sale, often at astronomical prices, from official dealers as well as from traders who went long back in May/June before official ordering closed here. They do find takers at those high prices. We are hearing that some people who missed out on ordering a new Defender here in Switzerland now quietly agree to really pay over the tops to still get hold of one. http://www.autoscout24.ch/fr/voitures/land...rfrom=2015 You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation. http://youtu.be/yVRlSsJwD0o https://youtu.be/vmPr3oTHndg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GtzTT9Pdl0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABqKPz28e6A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLZ49Jce_n0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvAsz_ilQYU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8tMHiX9lSw https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dxwjPuHIV7I https://vimeo.com/201482507 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSixqL0iyHw |

That's crazy. I'm glad that my dealer asked me if I wanted one of their orders in mid September, and with very good rebate. But there are too many heritage here my dealer sold 10 of them(4x90 and 6x110), well at least I was the first one to get it. I did not buy it as investment, still, good to know that should the need arise I should get most of my money back. Last edited by flydive on 5th Nov 2015 9:18pm. Edited 1 time in total |

I don't think it will make any difference to prices if we see even quite a lot up for sale. At the end of the day, there are only 400 in the UK and they all sold out when released in just 2 days!!! Even on here, there are a few peeps that missed out!
With Twisted and UT having bought stocks of new Defenders, there will still be supply of 'new cars' for some time to come which will still make the Heritage etc look like a good buy. I don't think that one will last long! All the celebration editions are special and will continue to be so... as the end of the era. YOLO... You Only Live Once... |

Interesting looking at the White Landmark in Switzerland! An awful lot of off the shelf aftermarket bits on it, 'Toyota Land Cruiser' grille and lamp surrounds that I've seen elsewhere on spruced up vehicles, twin tubular wrap round rear 'bumpers', Merc G Wagon inspired mirrors with lights on.
I'm surprised at Land Rover fitting these bits given their use elsewhere, One thing I did notice though was that the passenger's grab handle has a big hole in it on the outside, I don't remember ours having that but it was sold 14 months ago. What is 75,000 SFR in real money anyway? |
