Lift kit for 03 110 Double Cab
Hi all, Ive moved back into the Defender game after about 7 years without one. Just bought an 03 110 Td5 double cab and looking to start some modifications, starting off with arches, lift, wheels and tyres etc.

Im targeting a 2in lift with the Heavy Duty set-up.

Looking at a few of the discussions on here people mention the Terrafirma lift kit but it seems to have mixed reviews some good, some terrible. Realistically how much more life are you going to get from something like OME/Koni over Terrafirma? or would it make sense to but Terrafirma and replace every 4-5 years?

Does anyone also know any good distributers in the Leicestershire area?

Thanks

Depending on what you are trying to achieve, you can't go too far wrong with the Gwyn Lewis kit. I've run this for 5 years on the 90 and it's been fine Thumbs Up It has plenty of flex off road but still tows trailers well, handles heavy loads and stays upright during enthusiastic cornering Twisted Evil I used TF +2 springs and +5 shocks to save a bit of cash vs the OME options and can't complain at all although apparently the difference between TF and OME shocks is quite noticeable.

If you aren't looking for huge amounts of suspension travel then +2 shocks or lowered mounts would reduce the cost further.

I didn't even get 1 year out of the Terrafirma kit, I got many many years out of the Gwyn Lewis kit with OME parts.

Just noticed a nice load of pics and write up on Gwyn Lewis Facebook page

Shows his own truck with the mods mentioned above

+1 for Gwyn too as I bought a number of parts from him during the td5 build and he was very helpful MY2015 110 Urban Truck Expedition Spec

Thanks for the reply guys, Ill go have a look at the Gwyn Lewis kit.

Harry.o - what you're saying there sounds like exactly what I need as I want that extra height for some off road use but would still need to be able to tow trailers etc.

I've heard a few people say the TF kit doesn't last too well, out of curiosity what was wrong with yours?
