Unstoppable with chains on. Oh and I will being selling both set soon as they don't fit new one. Whistle Whistle Whistle Whistle Whistle Whistle Whistle Whistle

I also used to put a shovel in, few small shackles in for the silly recovery points lesser vehicles have, and make sure something warm to wear, torch ready to go, and gloves.

Andy

What size tyres did the chains fit Andy?

Question, why would you buy a Defender and mothball it for the winter ? Seems a bit odd to me .
A bit like buying a boat and not wanting to get it wet.

Ask me that question again in 20 years... Whistle You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation.

I live in Canada and have a 1999 110.

This year I'm ugrading to LEDs. Was holding off because of the ice issue. Truck lite now makes heated LEDs so I've just ordered those:

^^ Well, I must say that TruckLite beats both Nolden and J.W. Speaker by an arms length here. What a great idea. Thumbs Up
Hope that those other two prime LED lamp manufacturers will follow suit and lauch a Nolden2 and an EVO3 with such heated feature on top of other further improvements. I probably will replace my current EVOs then by such next generation heated Nolden or Speakers. Whistle

I've had mine waxoyled by Rustmaster. I'll grease the door locks and the wiper arms need replacing.

Has anyone tried snow chains or snow socks? Are they necessary?

Matt

Snow Socks. Now there is a product that the Home Office cannot decide if they are legal to use or not. You are not allowed to have bald tyres but you can put smooth socks on the tyres which means you have no tread. Don't make old people mad.
We don't like being old in the first place,
so it doesn't take much to Censored us off.
