I want to mention the very good service I got from Duckworth parts!!!!
On my trip from Belgium to Peterborough the bulb of my front left lamp failed... I thought: no problem I'm going to a Land Rover meeting, It would be easy to find one.... NOT!!!!! But at the stand of Duckworth Parts they were so kind to take one out of a lamp that was for sale and gave it to me for free!!!! |

At least someone is still practising the Land Rover Spirit. It has struck me after visiting a few shows over the past year that there are plenty of traders selling the "Gadgets" and Must Have products but very few catering for the everyday consumables. Yes at Peterborough there were a few fastenings stands doing nuts and bolts and plenty of tools and spanners but what was missng were stands doing the everyday things that we end up sourcing from the different Motor Factors in our areas.
Things like standard bulbs, trim fasteners, standard bushes etc etc. Yes they may have been there but after two days at the show I didn't see any ordinary replacement bulbs, plenty of the led's. Dare I say it but even Britpart could have made a killing, there used to be a 7.5t truck that opened out and had a plethoria of parts but I didn't see him this year. We all know that buying boxes of bulbs is so much more economical than but=ying that single bulb from the likes of Halfrauds which then gives you no excuse for having a light out. |
