OK delivery is too late for current defender production in UK so it's for another model or the spares market but then there's mention of "one more european facility" - does that mean the new defender production line from 2017/18?
"NEW DELHI: Steel Strips Wheels, a leading manufacturer of automotive steel wheels, has secured an order from Tata Motors-owned Jaguar Land Rover (JLR). This order is one of the Steel Strips WheelsBSE -0.72 % Ltd's (SSWL) biggest export orders, the company said in a regulatory filing. As part of the deal, SSWL will supply its products to JLR's UK and one more European facility, it added. The company, however, did not disclose financial details. The wheels will be supplied from SSWL's Chennai plant with the first supplies planned to start from February 2016. SSWL designs and manufacture automotive steel wheels since 1991 and is among the leading supplier to Indian and global automobile manufacturers. The company has three production facilities -- Dappar (Punjab) and Oragadam (near Chennai) and Jamshedpur (Jharkhand). http://economictimes.indiatimes.com/indust...998832.cms |

JLR have more than one factory in the UK, and they could be for spare wheels (space savers or otherwise) so I won't be getting too excited myself

Yes but the wording suggests the second facility is not in the UK!
