Red moon
Did anyone else set their alarm for 3am only to be underwhelmed by the lunar eclipse? This was my best effort with the camera - with the naked eye it was much worse! I went back to bed about 0340, so it might have got better, but I was getting chilly by that point. I think there was very light cloud cover where I was, so it might have been more impressive elsewhere in the country.

I got up at 4am for a call of nature and it was all dark so I assumed that the moon had set by then, the sky was clear as the stars were quite bright and clear.

I stayed up, crystal clear sky, very bright then it went a deep orange. I've never seen so many stars before Smile

sat in the garden for a bit with the hedgehogs rustling away.
