Front bumper on back
Has anybody ever removed the standard horizontal front bumper, cut the ends off, and mounted the ends on the rear of the vehicle as bumperettes?
Mounting brackets would likely be required.
I'm playing with the idea and would appreciate suggestions

The standard bumper is really not very robust. I think you may be over-complicating your project and it would involve quite a lot of engineering to achieve your goal. Why not just buy a set of decent bumperettes and bolt them on? They'll be fit for purpose and have no sharp edges and look the part too.

**EDIT** Found a thread that was toying with the idea of fitting a front bumper on the rear as an addition for a project. There is a decent 'mock up' picture page 2. It may give you an idea on how long you want them if you do decide to cut and nail them on!
