When I got mine the spacer came with the front one, (also came with longer bolts, which made sense).
Let me know how you get on with the rear one, I've still to figure out what bolts I need as mentioned here: http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic40547.html |

Probably for the rear diff due to close clearance of diff guard lip to the rear prop flange.
This was the case with QT's. |

Hi.
A spacer was supplied with standard rover rear wraparounds for use on Discovery models that have the rotorflex (Rubber Doughnut) prop coupling. The front ones shouldn't need the spacer and should clear the track the rod easy and it's design is no where near the flange The Rear guard for the Puma (AKA P38 Short nose) is very close to the prop flange but the nature of the fixings means next to no adjustment to it. Simon. The threads in the bottom of the diff casing are 3/8 bsf just that they are prone to corrosion you can see if you can get hold of a Tap and run it through to clear the threads or if you have a spare bolt you can make your own. Look up DIY or Inexpensive thread chaser bolts. If you have any other questions just ask. |
