Here's a question. If the Defender replacement doesn't come out for another couple of years, what happens to the factory, workers and tools etc that are there just now? Just wondering, there might be a very straightforward explanation that I'm not thinking of.

^^Don't need extra to be made. Here with us there are already unsold 110 Heritage in dealer ownership looking for a buyer... You never actually own a Defender. You merely look after it for the next generation.

We've got a couple for sale in Holland.
Just seen one at my own dealer and although I thought it was a bit too much green everywhere, I loved it from the minute I saw it. The brown seats look fantastic! Would have loved to take that one home with me, but my wife is thanking the Dutch government for our tax system. With 120k-130k euro, it's simply out of reach for me... |

Factory - space is planned to be used for one of the new Jag models - XE?
Workers - who knows how many are agency and so will just be laid off; permanent workers will either build new Jag or move to other lines/areas of work Tools - many believe there is a plan to move the defender production & assembly lines to a ROW location and continue building for those markets that will still accept it. Nice photos but the more I see of it the more the grill looks completely out of place. Not sure what it would look like with a proper galvanized woven grill?
