Yes mate, a great country indeed!
Amazed how cold it got at night... down around freezing! Just as well I still have my UK '4 season' spec sleeping bags! I am really pleased with my trailer too. Just mulling fitting Wolf wheels and wider tyres to it... I used the steelies and OEM Michelin Latitude tyres on my new hubs but the tyres have quite a small footprint... I figure a wider tyre would be easier to tow over softer ground... look better too! Click image to enlarge YOLO... You Only Live Once... |

Pete, You have completed a "classic" journey in a "classic" vehicle.
Well done, Martin. |

Absolutely amazing trip.
Crazy to think that road is 8 miles short of my daily commute all stretched out into one line Just can't really fathom that sort of space. Fantastic pics as always. Oz Defenders are by far and a way the coolest Running Restoration Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/post323197.html#323197 Self confessed mileage hunter |

I'm very jealous of that trailer Pete Looks superb! I agree with you that it would benefit from the wolfs with wider tyres - for all the sensible reasons of course, nothing to do with the looks! I tend to persuade myself in a very similar fashion when it comes to new mods MY15 Aintree 110 SW - for sale - https://www.defender2.net/forum/topic82781.html MY16 Santorini 90 HT - sold |

My 2 new Wolf wheels arrived from the UK! Finally decided to stick with the OEM tyre size of 235/85/16, but fitted BFG A/T KM2's! Now on the trailer, really like the 'matching' look with my Defender
Other good news was I found a second hand 'Patriot' roof rack, complete with pull out awning! Only 5km from me too! All fitted up, pretty essential for the summers out here really! Christened them with a 1000 km round trip to see some of the Spring wildflowers here in WA... amazing! Click image to enlarge YOLO... You Only Live Once... |

Out and about last week on the first hot Perth Spring day... 37 C!
I took my 87 year old dad for a drive about 45 mins North of Perth! Picked up a second hand 'Patriot' roof rack a while ago... brilliant bit of kit and the aluminium colour sits well with the white roof! Click image to enlarge YOLO... You Only Live Once... |

Ah! Number plate spotted!!
Yes indeed... I had to change my New South Wales plate over to a Western Australia plate within 3 months! Oz can be amazingly 'Nanny State'! Pretty impressed that 'HUE' had not been taken by a Heritage owner so I grabbed it! Over here, there is not the premium that we pay in the UK for special plates either... 'HUE' was about £250! The biggest hassle is getting the red dust off everything after getting back! It really sticks, especially to the rubber mud flaps! YOLO... You Only Live Once... |
