Thanks for the positive comments guys, the engine block is on the stand waiting on head dowels and the block filter coming and I’ll take a few pictures of it going together if there’s any interest?

Block on the stand, still got the angry swans to lift it on by myself don’t think I’ll try it when it’s together though
Something lovely about machining. If anyone in Northern Ireland is looking some done I cannot recommend the guys at Powermax Engineering in Moneymore highly enough, always do an excellent job at a fair price. Have done everything from new stuff to Seies one spreadbores for me. Bit confused here, it started as a hard top, but you've rebuilt it as a usw, so presumably it'll still be registered as a hard top . Be a bit confusing if you ever sell it? Or is it now registered as a usw

It’s registered as a utility because that’s what it was. How do you think other companies build tippers, hiabs, workshops etc?!

Another item off the needed parts list, few marks here and there, but I’m going to change them to black anyway so no biggie!

Made a little bit of progress, but not getting much of a chance to work at my own stuff.
Took the chequer plate off the bonnet to weld the rivet holes up. Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Stripped the axles down to fit new bushes and paint them. I couldn’t take the shame of it taunting me anymore so put and order in with Frida at Turner Engineering and ordered the last bits I need off eBay for it ad I’m going to try and make a bit of an effort to getting moving forward on this, mostly because I don’t want to have to get the welder out on the D2 Work van when the MOT runs out in December I have stripped the axles down to fit new bushes and then realised the hose on the press is leaking. If anyone thinks about buy a draper hydraulic press- DONT! the worst thing I’ve purchased, I’m now on number three
I did treat myself to a Bowler bumper, soft A-bar and some Alpine speakers Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge |

I'm sure Likeomg will be interested how you get on fitting the A Bar to the Bowler as I understand it doesn't fit without some modification.
Going to be great though!
