I fitted these to my June 14 Defender 90. they are a direct fit replacement but you will need to use your original grills as these don't come with any. They are a significant upgrade on the standard speakers but for me just didn't provide enough oomph! However, they represent an easy, value for money change and ideal if you don't want to molest your dash/panels.
They were only in the car for a couple of weeks so are pretty much as new. I've put them back in the original box and the supplied fittings are untouched. Barney,
Sorry for drifting off slightly but what did you fit instead please? A recommendation is better than trial and error as you yourself have obviously discovered. Good luck with the sale!   If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!
