Ciao Defender obsessives,
Just got back from a few days in Italy. Given the heat we had the AC on most of the time. Getting home last night I noticed that the carpet in the passenger footwell was saturated. My wife said she felt a dripping from the AC/heater footwell vent, so I am pretty sure it is not due to spillage or post sea/beach soggy clothes transfer (if you catch my drift...). As such, I am wondering if this is condensation or something more sinister? I have the AC on using the recirculated setting rather than fresh air, as the external air temp was 35c, so I assumed it would be more efficient/effective recirculating already cooled cabin air. NB. When I say saturated, I mean saturated. I have the upgrade thick carpet and it was soaked. It is worth noting that the air con was on for 4-5hrs every day for the past five days. Further, given it is LHD, the passenger footwell is the Right Hand footwell in case this has any bearing on pipes, tubes etc that might be the leaky culprit. Does anyone have any thoughts? If it is just condensation, is this common or is this because of the setting I am using? Much obliged as ever for any help.... Air conditioning grommet..... Two drains to check, see my post end of page 1 on second thread link. The teat or grommet underneath the vehicle can be cut to enlargen the aperture to prevent water build up.

Thanks K9F, reliably quick with answers as ever.
Just to confirm, having looked at your post and Eric's photo, I have to clear that grommet? Monsieur Le Grenadier I've not been everywhere, but it's on my list..... 2011 Puma 110DC - Corris Grey |

That one and also the main culprit which is under the vehicle. I'll see if I can get you the location.
EDIT... It won't be as easy to see as the one just depicted in the very top edge of the photo as this one as the gearbox has been removed but it gives you an idea where it is underneath the vehicle. This is the one prone to blocking more than the other one.
