Hi all,
I've been pondering about seats for a while, so could do with some suggestions/advice. My truck is fitted with the base spec grey Twill vinyl seats. The front ones have got the typical out lumbar support collapse on the innermost side of the seats where both driver and passenger have leant on it leaning away from the door pillar. This means the seats aren't very comfortable anymore. So I'm either looking to repair the existing seats - is this an easy job to do replacing the foam in the seat back? ... Or replace the front seats like-for-like with a good pair... Or to upgrade all together. I can't afford a big upgrade, i.e. under £400 ideally. I'm come across these: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/171781245311?_tr...EBIDX%3AIT Anyone had any experience? The one thing I don't like about most of these seats is the fact you can't easily access the battery box without unbolting the seat, so I'd have to relocate the wheel changing kit etc which isn't great in a DCPU. Also, I'd like to have seats that would match the rear seats colour wise preferably... Maybe I'm too picky! Any suggestions/ideas/anyone willing to part with a good pair of grey TDCi seats would be most handy! Pete 2010 Discovery 4 GS TDV6 1972 Series III 88" 2.25P |

I had the foam in our seat replaced under warranty as I could feel the seat frame when driving.
A friend had the same and tells me it was a 20min job as he waited. I've fitted pair of cheap Aldi seat covers to ours and they have around 30mm of padding. This give a far more comfortable ride over distances but you sit on the seat now, not in it(no side torso support). I've managed to fit them in such a way I can lift the base up and still access the batteries. The drivers box I've put a side door in so no need to lift the seat(Fuse box has been relocated to under the cubby box). Cheers, Kyle. |

Far easier/cheaper to recover your own. You can add in the heating element if required. Try the Exmoor Trim website.

I shall definitely have a look into it. I think if I were to do a seat replacement, I'd want them to be a similar match to the rears. Pete
