Paint colour code should be on the VIN plate under the bonnet... If you search the forum there is a thread which explains this in more detail I seem to recall. 2005 110 XS - Cairns Blue "Bertha" - Gone, and sorely missed

Indeed as bluebottle says, VIN plate on top of brake servo, paint # bottom left.
Zambezi silver = 737 (same as mine)  |

Mine has a big empty blank space where the paint code box is 
It was quite common for Land Rover not to stamp them with the colour code. They may have got better at doing it in later years however. If not, UK Defenders never had that big a range of paint colours so have a look what colour was available your year and it was probably that one Running Restoration Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/post323197.html#323197
