It'd be OK if it was totally as it came out of the factory, but the KBX grilles, chequer plate accident and the go faster engine decoration spoil it for me.. 1988 90 Td5 NAS soft top

Also,
There is one thing asking for that sort of money, but actually achieving it is a bit head in the clouds. Realistically would you part with that amount for what your getting...........? I know I would want a 100% genuine un molested one! 80" 80" 86" 88" 90" Wanted, Forward Control Anything considered. |

Someone will buy it, maybe not at the estmated price I agree. Nevertheless reading the restoration blurb it's not a bad example with some nice touches re: engine and chassis. With regards to the grill.....so what? For a small outlay it could be replaced for original.
If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |

If it is all as it seems then what a shame they didn't keep it original. Agree, the grill could be ditched, but all that chequer plate, bright work and yellow engine detailing just spoil it for me. It looks like someone has spent a lot of time on it but yet they have lost the plot in my opinion. Each to his own though as they say.

Couldn't agree more!
If I was parting with that sort of money for a future investment, I would want that exactly as it drove off the forecourt. Everything original, including the tyres! It was only a few weeks ago I nearly brought a SWB one in the same livery, absolutely mint, Same year, 65000 miles A well cherished Land Rover, kicking myself now, as it sold for £4900 80" 80" 86" 88" 90" Wanted, Forward Control Anything considered. |

Not my cup of tea but interesting:
"When the 90 and 110 Land Rover models were launched in 1983 they were praised for their revolutionary road handling and off-road ability and paving the way for the legendary Defender model. The most desirable was the V8 County Station Wagon, featuring 12 seats and the same 3.5 litre engine and gearbox as fitted to the Range Rover. It also had improved interior trim plus the distinctive body stripes." "This unique and bespoke example, estimated at between £19,500 and £21,000, was first registered on 1st January 1984 making it one of the earliest built.
