CHESHIRE POLICE TARGETING DEFENDERS
To cut a long story short, I got pulled over by an unmarked BMW yesterday afternoon on the way home. I thought "Oh Censored ", but ended up having the vehicle and my documents all checked.

Good bloke who pulled me over and we started chatting to find out the Police in Cheshire have been given an instruction to pull over ALL Defenders and Range Rovers due to the increase in thefts in Cheshire. After the check came through as OK, he wanted to make sure I knew of the additional security measures available with a special reference made to bonnet hinges.

Anyway, its good to hear of the Pro-Active measures and for once it was good to be pulled over. Just hope it continues and they get lucky in catching the scum. Thumbs Up

Interesting. Your post got me thinking......

So has anyone ever been pulled for speeding in a un-modified Defender on an unrestricted speed limit motorway? My guess is it would either be down hill, windy or just unlucky Mr. Green

It happened to me last year in the Peak District, both in my Defender and D4. I'm very pleased they are taking this so seriously, I've had my previous D3 and a 300Tdi Defender nicked.

Cheers

Simon
