2009 Defender 90 Puma 2.4 HT Galway Green

ENGINE OIL!!!

HI all just got back from halfords and have been told castrol 5w-30a1 has been replaced by 5w-30 A5 does anyone know if this is correct don't want to put wrong oil in tomorrow.

I faced THE same issue, checked the Castrol web site and as many other sites I could find and it appears to replace A1, Note it is currently £28 at ASDA and B&Q £32 at Halfords DEFENDER 90 TDCI XS,

Cheers LR90 didn't know if the halfords guy was just trying to fob me off because they didn't have any

A5 ACEA standard has higher specs than A1 (A1 is superseded by A5)
