Let's not jump to any conclusions, give the man a chance.
To be fair he must have a set to even contemplate doing it in the first place, it's not as if he needs the money! You only have one life, live it....forget the cost. 90XS Hardtop |

But who else is in the "all new line up", its not just about one person, but the chemistry across all three (or however many they go for now), lets hope its not Jodi Kidd from the Classic Car Show, it was like she was reading a script for the first time 2015 RRS Autobiography SDV6

A feature on Chris Evans and Top Gear in various local newspapers this morning....
Core of the article is about Evans not being liked by the Top Gear production team, not being able to drive and talk at the same time, which is a problem with such a feature like Top Gear. He also reportedly can not cope with speed, as he recently had to just sit in the passenger seat of a new Audi R8 V10, and when the female pilot was hitting the gas pedal, Evans got quickly car sick and the Audi could be stopped only just in time to let him get out and start vomiting for a few minutes after which he almost fainted.... And so the article continues.... All being juicily reported in the papers here with malicious pleasure. Sounds like the BBC HR did a Top (Flop?) Job in replacing the old team. At least Chris Harris is pretty decent. He can actually talk and drive and seems to know his cars. I read that Sabine Schmitz is on the TG team as well. She was probably driving - Evans wouldn't stop spewing if she was - she's mad. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1989 Defender 90 Toyota Aygo & Honda FR-V |

I've been following Monkey since before he was on 'Drive', and very much like his reviews & style - so I'm looking forward to seeing him on TG. I'm assuming he will be more scripted though, so not entirely sure it will be quite the same as watching 'Chris Harris on Cars'... time will tell. Still a good choice though.
(Note he did a good short review of the Puma Defender back in 2007 - it's somewhere on YouTube). Sabine also a good choice, IMO - these are great car enthusiasts, and Sabine & Monkey are great drivers. I'm hoping new TG will find it's own style. And if you still want old TG, it will be there on Amazon, so 2 shows going forward - what's not to like??? |

2 Hours of him being interviewed, though last year. You can download it as a podcast...I tend to listen to Joe Rogan on a daily basis at work.
This is quite entertaining and you see that Chris Harris is the most 'normal' petrol head!! |

Other Joe Rogan podcasts worth listening to... Jonathan Ward (Icon 4x4). Rutledge Wood (American Top Gear...funny guy) Matt Farah, Alex Ross (The Smoking Tire and Alex from SharkWerks). Magnus Walker, Alex Ross (where you realise that Magnus Walker is a tad rude and dull). Lance Armstrong too ! i tend to listen/watch them all throughout the working day!! |
