United Kingdom 2014 Defender 90 Puma 2.2 XS CSW Corris Grey
Land Rover Sports or Corbeau Seat Upgrade
I've nearly finished with tinkering with the exterior of my 06.14 Stationwagon. I'm now beginning to think about the interior.
I'd like to replace the existing 1/2 leather XS standard sets for full leather.

I've narrowed my choice down to either the original LR sports seats upgrade (trimmed in leather). Or the Corbeau, again in leather but with the low sides to aid getting in and out.
Comfort and support are the key objectives.
The LR don't look to provide that much more support over the standard design so I'm wavering towards the Corbeau.

Any thoughts?

IMHO I'd wait & see what the new Exmoor seat is like, as it sounds/priced just about right; IIRC it's released on 16/7?

If money absolutely no object get the Recaros.

If you want more value for money I would wait to hear some feedback on the upcoming Exmoor seats released on 16th July. Look to be very much like the Corbeau's.

I was going to do exactly this...

I think the Corbeaus look great... but when I sat in them, I found the shoulder support bolsters were too tight and narrow for me and made turning/twisting around virtually impossible. The Recaro's have a less pronounced shoulder bolster... they are great seats but body expensive!

Will be interested in what the new Exmoor seats are like... Smile YOLO... You Only Live Once...

Then don't listen to anyone recommending one brand over another. There's only one way to do it properly and that's to sit in an example of each and see what actually fits your particular body shape.

This may mean you have to put a few miles in travelling to try, but it's an expensive item to get wrong. Owners here may be helpful and let you try theirs?

It's just a photo I found on the internet - it's not actually a sticker on my vehicle.

Another quality seat to consider are the Sheelmann seats. Not exactly a cheap seat but very comfortable.

As already mentioned try seating in the seats first as comfort is dependent on your body shape plus exact contours of the seat.

Lots of fast off-road then a seat which 'grabs' your body, frequent stops, getting in and out low seat base bolster cushions on outside edge.

Try your preferred seat first.

Then there is electric seat heater, pneumatic lumber support

If your current seats are comfortable and you just want to change the look of the interior get high quality seat covers.

Good confort good look

Why I swap to Recaros? just to try it

Are the Recaro better than the Scheelmann? Recaro IMHO has better lining and holds laterally the body better but both are very very good seats way way way better than the original (not comparable)

Once again cost is an issue with the Scheelmann seats. They're roughly the same cost as the Recaros. Both the Recaro and Scheelmann are brilliant seats if money no object but no way are they twice as good as the Corbeau's. Yet they're twice the price.

If the new upcoming Exmoor seats prove to be as good as they look, then for the price they win hands-down. Especially as they come with heaters and all runners included in price..
