Chassis swap advice needed
I've ordered a new chassis for my TD5 and want to get the extra bits beforehand to make the transfer as smooth as possible. It currently has a 2"lift and I want to return it to standard. I have made a list of things I need to get and wondered if I had left anything out.
polybush kit - comfort?
clutch kit +DMF + spigot bush
braided brake hoses X3. new brake lines will of course be fitted
Is there such a thing as a chassis fitting kit - to replace all the rusty nuts and bolts and make the job so much easier
Drive belt and tensioner
I'll try and get new take off springs and shocks

I would suggest standard bushes (Genuine parts only) rather than any kind of polybush. Standard springs/shocks is a good shout.

For the bolts just go through the parts catalogue and order the necessary bits from your preferred parts supplier. Or even from your local fixings place, just ensure the grades are correct etc.

I recently had my Td5 re-bushed all round and did a lot of research online into various bush options. Came to the conclusion that it was best to stick with genuine / OEM for everything. You can get OEM parts for all the bushes, I think there are a couple of washers that aren't available OEM, so had to buy Genuine for those. 2005 Td5 | 90 Station Wagon | Tonga Green

I'm just in the middle of a chassis swap\rebuild, you will find that a lot get snapped/too rusty to replace as you strip it all down...

I'm waiting for bolts right now for the a-frame chassis mounts.. It's what's holding everything up.

I wish they did a complete set...I spent hours on the catalogue listing all the separate bolts, washers, nuts etc.. A right nightmare, you'd be surprised what goes pear shaped...Even the bolts that hold the rear damper brackets through the chassis were that rusty, the nuts turned but didn't come loose. So I ordered new brackets, but forgot to order the bolts....

Stupid Land Rovers!!
