I need the MUD STAFF raisers, I have to raise them a little especially on the back, I find the seat a bit' too sunken back. Any suggestions?

Daniele, as you come from Scheelman seats which are giving a real high up seating position, you went straight to the extreme opposite situation as the Recaros provide a very low seating position. Why don't you give it a bit of time to get used to this "as is", and then see if you really need to be higher up or not? I presume that you will agree that these Recaros in combo with your smaller than standard steering wheel give us the best possible overall room in the by definition not so big Defender seating position. By the way, nice road map between those seats. ![]() Eric Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated ![]() http://youtu.be/yVRlSsJwD0o https://youtu.be/vmPr3oTHndg https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GtzTT9Pdl0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ABqKPz28e6A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rLZ49Jce_n0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XvAsz_ilQYU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8tMHiX9lSw https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=dxwjPuHIV7I https://vimeo.com/201482507 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZSixqL0iyHw |

Thank you Eric
yes, nice map... ![]() I think that the mud raiser will be THE solution because I need a little more legs room as I'm a 1,83m but with long legs. Imho, with the Mud raiser sill be the perfect seats configuration. And now I can still say that the Sheelmann are also great seats..... ![]() however, I have no reason to look back... ![]() ![]() IID Pro MV License |

Recaros have landed here too.
![]() Have been keeping my eye out for some considerable time for the right set with heaters and removable bases. Got a set of covers thrown in too. Very, very comfortable. I was also able to retain my Exmoor Trim Seat Risers with the fit that suited me well. Original risers...old seat. ![]() Click image to enlarge Pretty much the same pictures as Daniele really. ![]() Click image to enlarge ![]() Click image to enlarge ![]() Click image to enlarge ![]() Click image to enlarge Covers. ![]() Click image to enlarge If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!! ^^ Nice one Daniele.
![]() ![]() Whilst the seats are 'egonomically shaped' and fits the upper torso and my f4t ar5e perfectly it appears the covers are not quite so. After a little fettling and wrestling I have decided just to fit the cover to the passenger seat for the sake of my daughter(s) and partner. The driver's side can remain natural until I either become incontinent or start leaving enough food laying around to feed a third World country after snacking as everyone else appears to do. Why all the food and drink doesn't seem to reach their intended destination beats me? My driving in mitigation may have something to do with it perhaps? ![]() Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |

Very similar to the ones I have with the four velcro fasteners where the holes are. Whilst they are functional it is a shame really to cover the beauty of the seats themseves. As stated the driver's I have left natural and will stash the cover in the rear should I ever need to use it. As the Defender is covered when not in use I don't need to worry about UV degredation. Just washed the covers and they came up a treat.
Due to the width of my old seat bases, heavy individuals and the seat risers I fitted some extrusion to the edge of them to prevent the seat bases from chafing on the edge. With the Recaros I may well remove it as the bases are miles away. ![]() Click image to enlarge ![]() Treat every day as if it is your last....one day you will be right!! |
