It's heartening news to hear about a police initiative specifically addressing Land Rover crime. I've written to the West Yorkshire Police Crime Commissioner to enquire whether they are considering doing something similar.

England 2002 Defender 110 Td5 Black LE Java Black
This has been done s couple of times in West Yorkshire. I believe the last one was held in the sowerby bridge/Hebdon bridge area. I missed it myself (on holiday) but there were a few on here had their vehicles marked 2002 110 td5

Thanks Jimb1978. I'm only in my first month of Defender ownership so I also missed the WY events you mention. Grrr! Hopefully my email will help remind the PCC there is a continued need for specific police interest in Land Rover crime. I will post his response on here.

United Kingdom 2015 Defender 110 Puma 2.2 USW Santorini Black
It's 100 miles round trip (£25 in fuel?). Is it worth it to go get this done on my 110 and two bikes? No idea what this would cost to have it done / do it myself?
Sorry for the tight arsed Yorkshire post Smile

Craig, look at it as a day out, enjoy the views/pub lunch and any marking is a bonus.

Rockster, it may well be a while before you get a response out of the PCC (experience talking here!) The WY initiative was out of the Halifax/Calderdale police area. You could try contacting the inspector at Halifax police station responsible for car crime. Can not remember his name but I believe Kevin at Mud has his name/contact deetails.
