Ok so I had a chat with David at Llama 4x4, such a helpful bloke.

If you want to go fully braided at the front from the union on the back of the shock turret all the way to the caliper then he can supply the hoses for about £50 posted. He's done it a numerous times for people wanting to get rid of the steel pipe (aka jump line) that runs from the union on the swivel top mount to the caliper.

He'll need a length (although he says it's always about 22"), so you'll need to work out a length of hose that works with your full lock and full droop whilst leaving no stress on the line. But obviously not too long that it dangles around. He'll also need a photo of the back of your caliper so he can tell which type of caliper fitting you have.

He can then make up the hoses with either a banjo fitting for the caliper or an identical male fitting to the factory one, although the latter will have an inch of solid pipe on it that then runs into braided (some clever fitting thingy he has!).

I'm sure for most people it's a case of if it ain't broke, but if you want to whip your calipers off frequently then it may be a good solution.

We talked about a way of securing the hose somehow, but every idea we had brought us back to plan A of letting it jump straight from the caliper to the turret mount. As he rightly said most new pick up trucks have a similar set up.

After all that I've decided to revert to standard and replace both jump lines for the sum of £14! And then if I put a lift on the truck I'll go back to David for some sexy brake lines Shocked Shocked

Hope this helps someone Thumbs Up

If you slot the bracket on the top swivel you can remove the calliper without disturbing the hoses whilst still using standard parts.

Or you could do that, yes Embarassed

I guess there's no chance of it pinging out of the bracket off roading?
