Hi guys, just thought i would ask if anyone knew what might be on the way out as my steering suddenly goes stiff every once in a while and then is fine the next second.
I have checked the pump and its dry on the outside and no drips or leaks. The 110 has done 115000 miles now so think it might need a new pump. What are your thoughts? |

Check the steering uj's. They can tighten up.

Reservoir is fully topped up and the UJ's were done up tighter earlier in the year due to a vibration from the steering.
The other thing is that it goes and stiff and loose randomly. If it is the power steering pump, does anyone know a good place to get it fixed and also do you know how much it roughly costs to get done? |

If it is the power steering pump, and do you mean the pump rather tha the box pumps can have new seals fitted that cost about £15.00. If you mean the power steering box box you would be better buying new or should I say reconditioned they cost about £250.00. For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at..

It's not the tie bar bent and rubbing on the aluminium guide thingy that's bolted on the back of the diff casing, or something somewhere else snagging?
