when I fitted mine, the instructions said you can either use the existing black torx headed screws in to the original blue fixings, which left the lid rattling like mad, or using the supplied flanged nuts with some new bolts. The bolts supplied weren't long enough, so I ended up just using a self tapper in to the original blue plastic thing to hold the lid on. It seems to have worked well.
