Brilliant watch like all your YouTube videos, and just goes to show you can never be to careful.

Though there is one thing that worries me and that is what the chap is doing from 2.27 sat crouched over the yellow strop , that could have been a dangerous if it would have let go. For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at..

I think he's holding the free end of the strop that is there to prevent the Defender taking off down the hill when back on its wheels. The strop is never going to be under much load so he is pretty safe. I am more concerned, watching the clip again, at the number of people who position themselves where the vehicle will land if the first winch rigging gives way - in particular the guy signalling in the second part of the operation appears to be in a position to get his legs crushed if the first winch or its rigging gives way.

That being said, there is nothing that is particularly highly stressed in that situation (except maybe the driver/owner of the rolled vehicle) so the chances of anything failing are small.

Yeah always stuff you can do better or improve on but there were some people there that weren't in our group and it can be tough to marshal puddin's with not much idea of the dangers.

At the time it all felt very controlled and as safe as it could or needed to be Check out my YouTube channel for green laning and Land Rover "how to" videos.
