You will find most people on here know the thru value of 300 Tdi Defenders ...not like the over inflated prices that you find on Flee bay.
Looks a nice car but way over priced for private sale...just my opinion Nidge. |

Nidge,
Thanks for the thoughts, is that a general consensus? I will obviously defer to the experts (yourselves) but I initially posted this while overseas and now that I'm back have had more time both with the Defender and looking in to it. The previous owner added a lot to it. I have been in a fair few and although you can't get away from it being 18 yrs old it is in good nick and drives really well. (The longer it doesn't sell the longer I get to drive it, while playing the line to the other half that I am trying to move it on - new baby and new house etc!) I have spent nearly Ł475 on it since owning it getting it serviced and replacing the steering box, drop arm and brake servo pump because they were all a little tired. As stated though thanks for the thoughts and I will look again at the price compared to LRO etc although when I did it first time round there were certainly quite a few that were priced higher. Cheers, Tom. |

Seems fairly priced to me. Have a go on eBay with a classified advert and you'll soon know if you've priced it correctly or not.

Looks like a very tidy example! The higher mileage may put some people off, but I've seen higher mileage 300's still going strong An engine to TDi for!

Gum/Culminator,
Thanks for the comments - we will see what happens. In the mean time I get to enjoy it so the mileage will creep up….. Not sure how long I can keep that going with the other half though!!! Cheers. Tom. |

Also FYI you'll find many on here won't follow up on adverts from new people who haven't posted much yet.

David,
Acknowledged - I had hoped to be part of the Defender community having finally got hold of a Defender a little over a year ago. Work kept me overseas until Christmas and then a change of circumstances has forced me to look at moving it on. I checked with Admin that they were happy for me to advertise despite my low number of posts, and they were and so I posted it. Hopefully you are content with that?! Ref. G-Mack's point I am away again and so have ended the listing in LRO until I get back. On the plus side it means I will get a bit more use out of it when I get back, pleasing given it is being fully serviced again prior to my return. Cheers, Tom. |

Yes, sorry wasn't meant to question you- just pointing out that the defenders that seem to sell on here are often ones that we've seen around before/know the history of/know the owner a bit etc, although yours does look very good indeed!
Wish it had been for sale 2/3 years ago, would've been perfect Good luck with the sale Cheers, David Land Rovers of all shapes S3 onwards… Daily is a 110 V8. |

David,
No issues at all. It will be a shame to see it go, both I and the young son really enjoy it! Until it does sell we will continue to do so. Regards, Tom. |

Hello all,
Just given it a full service with all fluids/oils changed - new oil filter and the water pumped also changed as it was starting to squeal. Price Drop to Ł6750 now that I am back in the country! Many Thanks, Tom. Last edited by tasr12 on 13th Dec 2014 8:22pm. Edited 1 time in total |
