Hi all,
Have been a having a problem with my EU2 defender that has gradually just got worse. The defender will cut out when driving (when taking foot off accelerator it cuts out). It has suddely also just started to not start - it will fire and then cut out and yellow warning lamp illuminate To restart after this have to lock and unlock immobilser to get yellow coil on. I have a nanocom and have the following faults... 3.8 Manifold pressure circuit (logged high) 3.7 Air flow circuit (logged high) 1.7 Air flow circuit (logged low) 10.6 MIL lamo drive open load 10.7 glowplug lamp drive open load 20.2 turbocharger overboosting 28.7 Topside switch failed pre injection Now this is odd because I have just replaced a dead ECU and its happened again?? any ideas would be greatly appreciated many thanks |

it look like you have some electrical problems, have anyone put 12vdc on the sensors? that could kill the sensors and the ecu.
disconnect the maf and pressure sensors and the engine should work, but you have to solve the electrical problem Augusto Defender 110 TD5 2001 Discovery 4 TDV6 |

3.8 and 20.8 - check the wastegate - it can be stuck, check the small pipe connecting wastgate and turbo output - it can leak
28.7 - check or replace injector harness in the engines head rest - check and probably clean MAF sensor internals and MAP sensor internals "Drobek" = The Small One - Discovery 2, "BlufĂnek" = The Blue Thing - Defender 130, and for me at least Ford Mondeo |

Dear all many thanks for all the suggestions.... I will give them all a go!! and report back...
Turbo overboost would not lead to all the other faults, would it? I have just bought a new injector harness. Will report back thanks again |
