I didnt fit the plate on mine, but did the light guards which has rivnuts
It came with the tool (bolt in with 2 nuts and a metal bar - you turn one nut to pull the bolt through against the bar and collapse the rivnut (in brief)) I then used a touch up stick on the clean hole before insertation and painted afterwards...i can say i liked drilling on the new car. As for the plate...my dealer used nuts not the rivnuts from what i can see (it maybe wrong) and who knows if they painted. Mike |

Same as Tim
When I had my PUMA I used nuts and bolts. If you take off the wing top plastic cover to fit the CP then just use your long thin nimble arms to reach forward and do the nuts up. Or you could like me use your fat arms tipped with 5 fat fingers and struggle for ages to get it done . Looks nice in the end. I had a Cairns blue, so the black CP set it off nicely. I wonder if anyone on here has my old 90? 110 D250 SE HT 110 USW SOLD RRE HSE Dynamic Gone, wife killed it VOLVO XC60 R Dynamic with some toys Polaris RZR 900XP SOLD |

Dealer fitted chequer plate has a rubber gasket under it, but my aftermarket set from paddocks did not come with any gaskets. Should there have been gaskets supplied?

No,, have used both types,, only the OE has the form gasket/seal underneath,, The Deluxe ? ones from Paddocks (if they still do them) are better !!! California F1, 75th 110 "Kermit", 50th Ann V8, 90 V8 Hybrid, 55 Series 1

yeh the delux ones. They did not do the puma bonnet version when I got them a year ago. Luckily I never fitted them so they can go on my new new car when I get it on Tuesday. Not sure how they will look on the metalic grey car, will offer them up & see how they look.
Will have to cut the wing protectors to fit the new shape bonnet and also raise the doors for the sill protectors. I just don't like the thought of drilling holes in a new car So I assume there will be no ill effects by fitting the chequer plate without the gaskets? |

Hopefully picking up my 110 tomorrow from the local stealer. I have had chequer plate fitted to the wing tops. It has the gasket/seal underneath but I don't think the stealer knows what they are doing in terms of fitting it.
Can anyone with fitted OE chequer plate with the gasket tell me if the gasket should be trimmed prior to fitting? The gasket stands out proud of the CP at the moment and doesn't look right. |

I have the OE chequer plate and the gasket is hidden by the plate.

Thanks for the reply to my post Bob.
Any chance you can snap me a picture so I can show my dealer. How long ago did you have yours fitted? |
