Disable bluetooth on the factory Alpine CDE-133BT unit
I've fitted a parrot tablet to my car for all my hands free calling needs, however ever since when I start the car the Alpine unit asks (twice) if it wants me to pair. Can some one tell me how I can disable the bluetooth, or stop the Alpine unit from trying to pair every time it is activated?

I have tried with the "HPF" setting both on and off.

Thanks in advance,

Tim

You could just carry out the latest firmware update apparently that can disable the bluetooth function anyway if it was an OEM fit in the Defender.

Have you looked thoroughly through their support link or tried contacting and asking them direct?

Thanks K9F, I did consider the update to "break" the unit! But knowing my luck it would actually work for a change! I'll try to contact Alpine to see what they say.

Cheers,

Tim

No worries. I have no experience with Alpine head units but when it is trying to pair with your phone do you not get any prompt on the phone giving you options such as:

Ignore, Do not ask again or Don't Accept?

Just an idea. Thumbs Up If you go through life with your head in the sand....all people will see is an ar5e!!

OK, found the problem, it still had my phone in it's memory, even though they were no longer paired. So, everytime it started.... do you want to pair? (x2).
