Hi All,
Just seeking recommendations on where I can buy a front bumper 'A' bar please? Looking for a black one that I can mount some spots on, so complete with those 'tags'. I have had a look on the net of course but knowledge is a good thing! Many thanks, Peter. YOLO... You Only Live Once... |

Flatdog ones are pretty good. The paint finish is good and there is plenty of room for big lamps on them! 02' 110 TD5 Double Cab Rebuild Thread

Well, I am here too! But the 'bar' would indeed be for OZ! More stuff to go in the 'suitcase'!!! In OZ, BullBars are all the rage... I don't really want to fit a 'BullBar'... I think they ruin the look of the Defender! So the 'A' bar would be perfect for Spot Lights that ARE very useful on really deserted roads at night! Appreciate the replies! Cheers, Pete YOLO... My other half flies business class... so she takes the heavy stuff!
Emirates have great baggage allowances on the A380! Seats and lights this time for her! And an 'A' bar would fit nicely in the large suitcase too! YOLO... You Only Live Once... |

Hi when I done mine I bought the stainless steel one from rebel 4x4
At the time they had the parts flat pack and I'm luck enough to be able to tig weld so put it together myself. It was as cheap as a black one and won't rust you could always spray the stainless one if you prefer black and it will last much better |

Hi YOLO,
Try Gumtree.au, there was an A-bar still available in Sydney last week. Good luck, Cheers, Erik, |

As far as I am aware it is perfectly legal to have an 'A' bar fitted, providing that you have driving or spotlights fitted to the 'A' bar as it then becomes a light bar. For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at..

I have a standard A-Bar and if you know any fabricators it is easy to get spotlight brackets made to suit your lights that 'pick up' on the upper securing bolts or indeed brackets that will fit to any A-Bar if the fabricator is talented enough and has the tooling.

To be honest I don't think you can go far wrong with the ARB style bar, they look fantastic on Australian Defenders and I'm not sure you can get a more solid bit of kit for your defender! Running Restoration Thread http://www.defender2.net/forum/post323197.html#323197
