I'd be VERY surprised if it was being driven by a Police Officer whilst it's on trade plates, more than likely one of the Police Staff. And yes on some occasions there is one rule for us, and another for you Should we break our rules we have the same penalties as you, plus misconduct etc etc. Strong people are harder to kill and generally more useful! |

I thought the police wording had to be covered up if not driven by a policeman?

not sure about wording , but blues are ment to be covered
doubt its the police driving , more likey main dealer picking it up from having extras fitted don't think police would have it yet as its unregersted , no number plates Last edited by munch90 on 24th Apr 2015 4:27pm. Edited 1 time in total |

If I remember correct ACPO ( association of Chief Police Officer) agreed that if anyone other than a Police officer or Special Police Officer were to drive a Police vehicle then the POLICE sign had to be covered up this was a result of a number of incidents having been reported to mechanics and civilians who were stopped while driving Police vehicles and no action was taken. Don't make old people mad.
We don't like being old in the first place, so it doesn't take much to us off. Richard |

I don't know the exact rules but when the guys repair our marked cars they put a strip of thick black tape through Police when on their road test, they don't cover the lights. Strong people are harder to kill and generally more useful!
