Mantec roof bars making a racket 😮
Evening all
Fitted 3 no mantec roof bars to my puma and you get to around 45mph and the noise is unbearable , it stays (although gets less) till about 60 mph Big Cry
I reckon it's the front bar that's the problem , cos if I put my hand out of the window and grab hold of it you can subdue it a little and feel it vibrating like mad Rolling Eyes
Soooo has anybody else had the problem and how did they sort it ?
I fitted a mantec snorkel at the same time and wondered if maybe the wind/ airflow going around the snorkel is not helping Banging Head
Help please !

Try moving the position of the front bar and see if that improves the noise.

Thanks Brendan , I'll give it a whirl , it's right at the front at the moment , so will try moving it 8" back and give it a try

If it is right at the front then I could imagine air hitting the windscreen divert upwards hitting your Manbo bar causing the noise.

It might take a couple of attempts to get it right.

I've got two on mine, might be the Snorkel causing a different airflow party as I don't have one.
But no noise from mine!
The front one is located just above the frontal first section of flat roof.
So above that section but just behind the seam of the sloping section heading down to the windscreen.
If that makes sense?
