United Kingdom 2002 Defender 110 Td5 CSW Bonatti Grey
MTB in Charmonix
Evening all,

I've seen that there are some keen Mountain Bikers on here and was wondering if any of you have done any trails in and around Charmonix?

A mate, whom is considerably more rehearsed in MTBing than I, has a spare week and is heading down there in his VW Camper and asked if I'd like to go. He doesn't want money for fuel or tunnel as he's "going anyway", so of course I'm jumping at the chance.

Neither of us have been before, so I said I'd look at organising the route, campsite, trail selection and lift passes etc while he's on his month at work in Libya.

Basically after any advice on where to stay, where to go, cheapest way to get to France etc.....any advice is welcome.

We're going the first week of June (out ward trip Sunday 31st May afternoon/evening and return late 7th/early hours 8th June)

Thanks in advance,

Ryan Strong people are harder to kill and generally more useful!

hi Ryan

when we camp in Chamonix we stay at http://www.chamonix-camping.com/

clean and tidy, they take breakfast orders in the evening for the bakery and it's not too far to walk into town
