Help needed TD5 Swivel & Seal ideally Cumbria based | |
I know this is long shot but is there anyone based in Cumbria (for some beer token & cash)
that can assist in me changing my passenger side swivel and seal on my TD5 Defender 90 (i can come to you if needs be)
i'm very mechanically minded, and have tackled all the other jobs that have needed doing (clutch & flywheel replacement, suspension change, etc)
But having never done the swivels i don't fancy starting a job and then being stuck 1/2 way through
The passenger side swivel is just weeping slightly, due to the swivel being pitted, i have removed the seal cleaned inside the swivel and then refilled with the 1 shot grease (i top it up every month) but it still weeps
The swivel itself has no play but i know i need to fit a complete new one & seal
If anyone is able to assist please can you pm me your details
I know some might say just take it to a garage but i want to learn how to do this myself in the future
