Surprised you don't have tinted windows in your hot climate. Harrop have been involved with Australian motorsport for many years and manufacture superchargers and other goodies including the E-locker based on Eaton locking technology. The switch is from Mulgo (Mulgo.com.au). The switch body seems a genuine part with the cover being custom engraved. They have a range of switches. I thought about ARB and Ashcroft lockers which have great reputations but Harrop was just down the road and having had a standard electronic locking diff om my now sold Mazda BT 50, the ease of operation sold me. |

I could say that Australians are built tough for Australian conditions but given I weigh 57 KGs I probably don't qualify! I my case it is more that I haven't gone down that road yet. I do plan to tint the glass as it does stop you getting fried driving due to the upright glass of the Defender. It also protects the plastic parts to a degree. My last Defender had window tint which worked well. |

Thanks. The bar came with the vehicle which I purchased with 6000 miles on it. It is the older style bar which has made it easier to mount the Warn winch than the newer style bar which is closer to the bodywork which can create problems when fitting some brands of winches. We are lucky in Australia that approved bars are legal for use here. As you know, we have a lot of creatures that can disable a vehicle if hit without frontal protection. Once kangaroos were only limited to regional areas but these days roos are not uncommon in the outer suburbs as the suburbs move into their habitat! They are also handy to mount all the junk we tend to fit to Defenders. |
