LED headlight bulbs, and other bulbs
Just been nosing around. I have crystal wipacs and osram night breakers running off a boomslang loom.

But.

It seems to me that LEDs may be better. The spot lights and the headlights on the front of the motor seem to disapear completely when the LED roof light bar is on. And when the light bars turned off for a few moments it seems the light output on the headlights isn't there at all. Its almost blinding, the difference.

So... Coz I'm tight I wont buy LED units also I don't like the idea of not being able to renew a bulb at the road side if needed.

So these LED bulbs have caught my eye, some cheap and some expensive the natural assumption Is the expensive are better.

So I'm asking for any experiences with these bulbs.

The question I asked is regarding LED headlight bulbs and other LED bulbing, not sealed LED headlamp units or spots lights

LED bulbs work very poorly in a 'traditional' headlamp housing owing to the way they emit light compared to a incandescent bulb.

Don't waste your money ............. Guns and Landrovers .... anything else is irrelevant.

I'm not disappointed with the current headlight setup I have, it is a vast improvement on standard. I wasn't aware it was illegal though so I suppose that's the end of that lol but maybe I could use them in the spots. The noldens and other such are tempting but I cant justify that cash on them as my crystals are great .

I'm simply after matching up the output from all light units essentially. I'll leave the headlights and perhaps try some in the spots Surprised
