Hi guys was wondering if anybody is interested in a group buy on the BMC ota air filter system it replaces the complete air box very well made and efficient
To get a good price it will have to be a minimum of 5 units to get a decent discount on price rrp is 620 inc vat

If any one is interested let me know they do a kit for the puma and the td5

I ain't shy with the cash either, and also appreciate development cost, but this is just too much!

Could buy a trick turbo for that, mind you it wouldn't breath properly through the existing air box Laughing

It's a carbon hoover mind.
I'd want to see an extra 15hp and a hike in torque for that money. I don't expect it will perform any better than the standard box in a Defender.
Perhaps with a re-map, intercooler, big turbo etc it might be the cherry on the cake but it'll do nothing on it's own, carbon or not.

That the rrp price though not the price for a group buy ?

It will give a improvement
As you are aware I'm doing a 3.2 conversion so fitted one as I couldn't use the existing air box
If there was 5 people or more interested could probly be able to get them for around 550 inc vat ?

That makes a bit more sense then.
The filter housing looks very small though not offering a lot of surface area for maximum air flow. I suppose you might be restricted for a bit of space though with that lump.
Good luck.

I know the guy who manufactures carbon air boxes, as well as the carbon stuff that goes in Bentleys.
That Filter would cost around £6 ! Some things just aren't worth the money. Spotty faced boy racers who think each pound spent equals one extra horsepower love that stuff.
But if it blows ya frock up.......

Heres a carbon road frame he's built, so a tube of carbon is a bit blasé Confused

I'm not trying pee on your chips steve, after building the F8 Ibex, I appreciate your predicament, but I hate seeing people getting ripped off.
Surely it's a trinket, but that's a heap of cash.

I was nearly trying to offer a group buy as I know I can get them cheaper but it doesn't other me either way as I have mine fitted !

Was only trying to save some other people money ?
