The Spanish test can be a pain...............I have an ex colleague who bought a brand new car here and went to live in Spain a couple of months after he retired. He had to produce a mountain of paper work which included the build sheet for the car with all the factory stamps. When the examiner checked the vehicle it failed because the front windscreen had been changed and didn't have a factory sticker on it (never heard of that before) It took me friend six months of marathon emails and phone calls to get a certificate/letter from the manufacturer to say that the windscreen was the correct specification and factory fitted, during which time he was without the use of his vehicle. Don't make old people mad.
We don't like being old in the first place, so it doesn't take much to us off. Richard |

They are actually no problem, just needs to be in the papers. He measured up every inch on the car aswell. Now i also need to weigh it with the new bar/bumper. lol. I did a mockup with my old bumper (as s user suggested) and thats a go, works for "MOT". Just need to fasten it somehow. I did send this pic to the techician and he said, great Click image to enlarge |
