Are you using a Momo boss or an after market slimline boss. For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at..

I would be interseted in the answer to this too as I have just fitted a Jet as well. I have a slimline boss and the centre horn/logo does not sit well, I am waiting for a snap off steering wheel boss to be delivered too and was waiting until that is fitted before I decided what to do with the centre cap.

Did you manage to get the wheel tightened enough to use Scoobeenut? I didn't dare tighten it to much incase it all crumbled in there! Ben at Flatdog has emailed Momo for me to see if they have any answers.
TBH I wasnt aware id bought a slimline boss - I just wanted a standard jobbie |

I have the same Momo wheel but attached to Bolt on Bits slim boss with a snap off.
Look here http://www.defender2.net/forum/topic33163.html?highlight=snap I removed the horn push tabs as they were fouling the snap off but the wheel fitted fitted the boss without any problems prior to fitting the snap off and the boss is half the width of the Momo. I have now completely removed the horn unit and use the Land Rover badge supplied by CSK Could you take a few photos of the the steering wheel column nut to show how much it protrudes. That would be great if you can Gilarion. Are the badges on Chris's website? I don't mind loosing the horn functionality part as it doesn't work anyway just want it to look right!
Many thanks |

Did you get one of these to put behind the wheel to stop the horn button falling out?...

AhHa Gilarion, that is the same snap off boss that I have ordered, I would also be interested where you got the Land Rover logo from? I have fitted the Momo horn button on the slimline boss as temporary until the snap off arrives but it doesn't sit right and looks silly.
Brightondefender, I had no problem getting the steering wheel fitted tight with the screws and fixings I had. |

No I did not use that item.
When I fitted the snap off the horn spade connectors fouled the snap off so I had to drill then out easy job with a 1/8 drill bit, then it fitted perfectly. Later when I bought the badge I just removed the horn completely. For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at.. http://www.youtube.com/user/conwy1 |

We often have to 'modify' horn pushes to fit MOMO wheels, especially if a quick release is used.
Here we have trimmed the horn push in perforated leather to match the MOMO Tomcat and also trimmed the MOMO standard boss in black leather with silver stitch. The horn push has had the four 'legs' trimmed off and then been glued in place with automotive silicon (you can see where I haven't cleaned it off yet) The 'Quick release' will shortly be in stock and available to buy from our website Click image to enlarge Click image to enlarge Admin note: this post has had its images recovered from a money grabbing photo hosting site and reinstated |

Will this include the 'silver' one shown in the picture as I have not seen the snap off in that finish before For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at.. http://www.youtube.com/user/conwy1 |
