I have never condoned violence and in using it Clarkson was a fool, and in the end I suppose the BBC had no other option but to not renew his contract and Clarkson played right into their hands. Lord Hall must be chuffed to bits.
What a shame the BBC does not use this ‘we had no alternative but to dismiss’ approach when it comes to the many paedophiles and sex perverts it employs and pays small fortunes to both in the past and who knows how many presently. Lord Hall said in his statement 'BBC has to have standards of decency and respect' what a hypocrite! So seeing as other broadcasters are lining up to sign him, who do we think will start their own "TG"?

I'm surprised to be honest, especially in the fact the BBC in my book are generally politically biased and Clarkson was seen hobnobbing with a pair of certain politicians around Christmas time...
In my opinion he didn't make the show he ruined it in fact. 5th gear was better in my opinion because it was more factual and informative rather than some big joke / escapade at the TV licence payers expense. Having said that some of the TV licence funds you pay a percentage goes towards broadband projects and not TV companies at all. They do what they like.. |

For those old enough to remember Top Gear was presented by Angela Rippon for three years. Maybe Lord Hall will recommend her for any new series of Top Gear. I am sure in Rippon’s hands Top Gear will not be controversial at all…
May and Hammond have said they will not work with Top Gear without Clarkson (we will see) My money is on the three of them moving to SKY. For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at.. http://www.youtube.com/user/conwy1 |

Sadly he deserved to be sacked, loved the show & he was part of why I did, yes a baffoon a lot of the time but enjoyable sunday evening viewing with a car theme
Lets hope they continue with TG & JC goes on to do one on another channel as I enjoy motoring programmes - even in the loosest sense 2020 P300 HSE |

I suppose now Clarkson’s employment with the BBC has ended he can concentrate on his libel action against the BBC for the astonishing comments they made in the Sunday papers comparing him to sex offender Jimmy Savile and urging him to check into rehab. Jeremy Clarkson has according to press reports already instructed his lawyers to pursue a defamation action against the broadcaster. So the saga will continue for while yet.
I also wonder if the producer will now report the matter to the police… For those who like Welsh Mountains and narrow boats have a look at my videos and photos at.. http://www.youtube.com/user/conwy1 |
