Storing bikes in a 110 USW
I'm contemplating ways to store bikes in the back of my 110 USW. With the second row seats folded forward, I think I will have enough room for a bike (or two) length ways with the front wheel removed.

I'm looking at ways of securing the forks with the front wheel removed so that the bike stands upright. I'll need a QR mount per bike http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=39590) and since my forks are all 20mm bolt through a Hurricane Fork Up (http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=18596) as Saris dont seem to make a 20mm clamp.

I'd either bolt the Saris and the Fork Up onto a plank of wood cut to fit or buy this: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=39583 which looks like a good idea.

So, my questions:

Has anyone tried this setup?

I think from looking at the landrover site that the width of the bottom of the tub (i.e. the floor) is 34 inches. Can anyone confirm this please?

Any other pieces of kit doing the same trick I should look at, or other ideas?

Cheers all

In my 110 utility, i take the wheels off, turn the bike upside down and the bikes fit in across the width of the vehicle. I can get 4 bikes in with the seats up. Dont know if this will work with your seats in the back Question

Yup that's what I'm doing at the moment but it's a) time consuming and b) causing the wonderfully reliable seals in my Rock Shox Pikes to leak as one of my bikes gets stored in the truck. I'll use that method when it's me and more than one other, but for solo trip pairs trips I'd like something a bit quicker and with fewer oil slicks

Going to bust out the measuring tape tonight Twisted Evil

I throw my bike in whole (no wheel removal) with the back seats down and lean it over at an angle making sure nothing vulnerable is going to get bashed. When I arrive I just drag the bike out backwards - no worries. Can get full-sussers (Five and EX9) in with loads of room to spare. Certainly I bet I could get three in if not four.
