United Kingdom 2008 Defender 110 Puma 2.4 DCPU Java Black
Suspension height
I think I may have a droopy front end........and I don't think it's my age.

I have 110 Puma DC which seems unnaturally low at the front. I know they are usually orientated with the rear up but the front just seems TOO low. Could some kindly soul measure their front suspension height for comparison. Under the front bumper would be ideal, or alternatively to the wheel arch.

If the height is about right I will invest in some plus one springs for the front but if they are simply sagging through age I will get some new standard ones..........

Cheers

Dave

If I remember I'll measure mine for you, but may be lower anyway due to the extra weight of a HD bumper and steering guard.

But they do sit 'arse up' naturally, heavier duty springs on the back for taking loads than on the front. I bought a pair of standard 90 rear springs to fit up front as some on here have said it'll level it up better.

If you look at your springs, which are a 2 stage weight as standard, you nmay find the first 3(ish) coils are compressed. This is the softer part of the spring. Mine were like this. I replaced with 90 rears (also 110 HD fronts, is the same spring), but new standard fronts would have made a difference. If the softer cioils are not under compression they are probably ok!
