The EKA code is printed on a bit of card that came with the Puma when new including the radio code.

When locking and unlocking make sure that you wait for the alarm to arm completely .. takes about 30 seconds .. watch the red light on the dash to stop flashing so quickly. 2008 Defender 110 XS SW - M57N2 / 6HP28X

I don't have the EKA number in the vehicle but the red light goes off and the engine fires up with a tow. I reckon the immobiliser is working fine??? 2008 RS4 gone, 123d M Sport, and a Puma 90 XS..

Does it try to start? If so does it manage to turn the engine over then cut out or does it just make a click noise, or does nothing happen?

It starts on a slope and engine is down on power but the starter is silent as if it didn't have any wires on it.
Thanks. 2008 RS4 gone, 123d M Sport, and a Puma 90 XS.. |

Hi RED-DOT
how old is your clutch? i had the same issue with my starter which turned out to be the dust of the clutch preventing the starter to engage, no click (solenoid) no turn (engine) starter out and to pieces, cleaned it completely and reassembled the thing. Now 3 years later it didn't miss a beat once. other option was to replace starter but i am a tight arse. Check if you get voltage to the solenoid when starting (the smallest wire on the starter) if yes the defect is in the starter 2 cents only |

Update.... After bump starting this morning the mid range power was non existent with a fair bit of black smoke. Stopped it on the slope four hours later and it started on the key with power back again. I'm stumped and doubting the future reliability! 2008 RS4 gone, 123d M Sport, and a Puma 90 XS..
