Yes, they'll fit, but be aware that over the years several different widths and offsets have been produced so make sure you know what your getting and they're all the same.
You will need the appropriate nuts. |

Be careful about the age of the tyres - have you checked?
Are the wheels for tubed tyres or are you saying the tyres require them? It's more of a pain if you have wheels requiring tubed tyres as that's all you can fit; whereas a tubeless wheel can usually always take a tubed tyre. |

Thanks for the advice guys. I `am pretty sure the wheels have "tubed tyres only" stamped on them.
As for the age of the tyres, good question. Another thing I will have to check along with the offset of the wheels, not to mention the steering stops will more than lightly need adjusting. Thanks for help. Excuse the spelling I`am better with spanners and wires. |

If the tyres are Olympic steel trek they are probably the toughest tyre going and used to be the favourite for overlanding in oz.

Will the 7.50xR16 fit the Boost alloys? If so, why not stick with the alloys?

No, the Boosts are too wide.
The widest you can use are the 6.5" Wolf wheels according to most manufacturers at least. |

D'oh! I guess I'll be sticking to 235/85/R16s then. So Michelin gets scratched off the list.

HardCharger: they are available in sizes other than 7.50R16 if you want them.
There are also loads of tyres in 235/85R16 so it's not like you've got a lack of choice. The size you're really limited for choice is 7.50. |

Hi Cupboard,
Yeah, true. But the Latitude Cross came as a great recommended tire for our trucks so I wanted to give them a go only to find out that Michelin don't do 235/85/R16 hence the question about the 7.50 and Boost since there was a set I could get but needed to know if they fit first. I only wish that the local Cooper guy brought in the 235s but alas they do not as there is not much demand for that size so you have to wait until they bring in a set. I was made aware of Saffiro AT tires that have had a good track record thus far and the nice thing is that they come in 235s with out really breaking the bank so I'll give these a go first before trying other brands. Now 265s are readily available but they do impact power, consumption, and component wear not to mention turning radius so I'll give these a skip. Not to mention they're quite pricey in these parts too... |

Whether posting a set abroad would be silly money I don't know, but takeoffs are available reasonable prices.

Hi Cupboard,
Hmm... That is an option to consider now, I suppose. I never really considered it as I had difficulty finding a vendor before that was willing to send tires this way that was with reasonable cost. |
