Myn T.R.O. did a road book a few yesrs ago setting off from Perranwell Station and ending at Crantock. When we go down I always drive a few of them one passes through Healeys Cider farm which is a good place to stop off for a break. Check out the cars in the new visitor centre a Big Healey and a cracking Healey Silverstone. Another easy lane passes behind the Tresmble valley caravan club park. If you want a copy of the road book I'll photo copy it and send it to you.
Sadly I won't be driving any lanes down there in September as we now have a motorhome so the 90 gets to stay at home. Uncas |

Kynance cove is possibly the most beautiful place in Cornwall, in my eyes anyway. Obviously there's lands end. Oh and maybe St Michaels mount is quite nice. Padstow is a popular place and so is St Ives. Mevagissy is also nice and up near fowey. The first few I said are quite far south to where you're going.

Hi
Take a trip towards Lands End via the coast road that runs from St Ives a twisty single track road in a remote coastline, head for St Just. When you get to near Botallack look for the Levant Engine House (National Trust) http://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/levant-mine/ An iteresting mine site on top of the cliffs. When you park you will go down a single track to the car park on the left. If you drive through ther car park you will find a byway that runs along the top of the cliffs to the Crowns Engine House. Spectacular tin mines at the base of the cliffs. Finish off in Sennen, you can walk to Lands End along the cliff tops. Interesting wreck in one of the coves to see along the way. |

Here are the Crowns . .. made popular from a recent period tv series re-make ....
the road is short be lovely, it runs on the upper line and follows the cliffs - be please mindful of your speed and all the tourist, we don't want it to be restricted due to complaints etc.. I did the above proposed route through lavant. It's spectacular. Even the courtesy disco sport managed the very tame lane you can go down. I couldn't have picked a better day for it either

Hi
I took the route in February this year in our FL2 (110 having a rest!). the difference could not be more extreme, end of an atlantic storm with F10 gusts. About where the discovery is parked some chaps from the NT were fixing a path. You could not stand up in the wind, let alone work in it. Anyway a great byway. |
